MEDICALS FOR SPECIFIC NATIONALITIES

Recognition of medical practitioners abroad by the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA).
Regarding article fourteen of Resolution No. ADM-178-2020, that states that only medicals certificates issued through an external provider of online database software for issuing and verifying medical certificates of seafarers authorized by the PMA, will be accepted.
A medical certificate from PMA authorized by an external online database is compulsory software for Seafarer’s nationals from:

  • the Republic of India
  • the Republic of Philippines
  • the Republic of Myanmar
  • the Socialist Republic of Vietnam
  • the Republic of Indonesia and
  • the Republic of South Korea

Kindly request to our office conpanamahamburgo@mire.gob.pa the updated list of medical practitioners by region, recognize in the above list of countries and authorized by Panama Maritime Authorized (PMA).
