In order to promote business opportunities, trading and investment between Germany and Panama, was held the first edition of the Panama Business Day. This important event was supported by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce.

The conference was attended by a delegation led by Minister of Trade and Industry, Meliton Arrocha, and included officials of the Panama Pacific Agency, the Superintendency of Banks, the Colon Free Zone, the Panama Maritime Authority and Etesa.

The schedule included issues related to business opportunities that Panama offers in the financial, energy and maritime sector, as well as the benefits of special economic zones.
Mr. Heinz Dickmann, Head of Promotion of Foreign Trade and International Markets of the Chamber of Commerce of Hamburg and Christoph Schmitt, CEO of Lateinamerika Verein, they expressed satisfaction with the significant participation of entrepreneurs and German investors in the activity to generate and promote business opportunities between the two countries.

Before the event, were developed a series of meetings with officials of the German Parliament and Committee for Economic Cooperation, Development and Energy, coordinated by the Embassy of Panama in Berlin and the General Consulate of Panama in Hamburg.

The city of Hamburg in Germany, was the host of the first edition of the Panama Business Day, a major event aimed at promoting trade between Panama and Germany. As part of this event, Panama was invited to participate in the fair COTECA 2016 with its excellent coffee and cocoa, to be held in this European city next year.

Um die Handelsbeziehungen zwischen Deutschland und Panama zu fördern, wurde eine erste Version des Panama Business Day in Hamburg entwickelt und von der Handelskammer Hamburg gefördert.

An der Konferenz zur Wirtschaftsförderung Panamas nahm eine Delegation der Agentur Panamá Pacífico teil, die Bankenaufsichtsbehörde, die Freihandelszone Colón, die Maritime Aufsichtsbehörde Panama (ATP) und die Firma Transmisión Eléctrica (ETESA).

Die Agenda umfasste unter Anderem die Geschäftsmöglichkeiten, die Panama den Finanz-, Energie- und den maritimen Sektoren bietet, und außerdem die Vorteile der Besonderen Wirtschaftszonen.
Heinz W. Dickmann, Direktor und Chef der Außenwirtschaftsförderung und Internationale Märkte der Handelskammer Hamburg, und Christop G. Schmitt, Generaldirektor des Lateinamerika Vereins (LAV), zeigten ihre Freude über die bedeutende Beteiligung deutscher Unternehmer und Investoren.

Vor der Veranstaltung gab es eine Reihe von Treffen mit Mitgliedern des Deutschen Bundestags und des Komitees für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit, Entwicklung und Energie, koordiniert durch die Botschaft von Panama in Berlin und das Generalkonsulat von Panama in Hamburg.

Im Rahmen dieser ersten Veranstaltung des Panama Business Day in Hamburg bekam Panama die Einladung im kommenden Jahr in Hamburg an der Messe COTECA 2016 teilzunehmen und seinen exzellenten Kaffee und Kakao zu präsentieren.

Panama hat den Ruf ein Produzent von feinem, sehr aromatischem Kakao zu sein, und entwickelt zusammen mit Deutschland eine Kostprobe der Kooperation und Investition in die Produktion von Schokolade.

Para promover el intercambio comercial y las inversiones entre Alemania y Panamá, se desarrolló la primera versión del Panama Business Day en la ciudad de Hamburgo, actividad que fue apoyada por la Cámara de Comercio de esa urbe europea. En la jornada de promoción de Panamá, participó una delegación encabezada por el Ministro de Comercio e Industrias, Melitón Arrocha, e integrada por autoridades de la Agencia Panamá- Pacífico, la Superintendencia de Bancos, la Zona Libre de Colón, la Autoridad Marítima de Panamá (AMP) y de la Empresa de Transmisión Eléctrica S.A (ETESA).

La agenda tratada incluyó temas relacionados con las oportunidades de negocios que ofrece Panamá en el sector financiero, energía y marítimo, así como los beneficios de las Zonas Económicas Especiales, entre otros puntos.

(LAV), manifestaron complacencia por la significativa participación de empresarios e inversionistas alemanes en la actividad destinada a generar y promover el comercio e inversiones.

Previo al evento se desarrollaron una serie de reuniones con autoridades del Parlamento Alemán y de los Comités de Cooperación Económica, Desarrollo y Energía, coordinadas por la Embajada de Panamá en Alemania, Berlin y el Consulado General de Panamá en Hamburgo.

En el marco de la primera versión del Panama Business Day en Hamburgo, el país recibió la invitación a participar en la feria COTECA 2016 con su excelente café y cacao, a realizarse en esa ciudad europea el próximo año. Panamá busca ser reconocido como un país productor de cacao fino y con un aroma especial, y en conjunto con Alemania desarrolla una muestra de cooperación e inversión en la producción de chocolate.
